SPERRY MESSENGER - R/C Airplane

Accuracy of all parts has been tested by assembling this model - see the photo below.

Our model is based on the freely flying Sperry Messenger model, which had a wingspan of 580mm (22.8"),

was powered by CO2, and was very popular in the Czech Republic.

Our model is enlarged, and the amount of material used corresponds to that.

The balsa sheets have dimensions of 100x330mm (the longer dimension is subject to Czech Post conditions and allows for sending the package at a reasonable price).

There are 14 of these balsa sheets in our kit + 3 Plywoods sheets.

Other parts (including wheels) are placed on 2 pieces of poplar plywood.

In total, the kit contains more than 160 quality balsa and plywood parts laser-cut.

You will also find a set of parts for making landing gear wheels with a diameter of 70mm, including so-called "O" rings, which serve as tires.

However, some elements you will need to purchase yourself to complete the model:

- 1mm diameter steel wire for making landing gear legs and upper wing mount

- Balsa beams with square cross-sections of 2x2 (5/64x5/64") and 3x3 (1/8x1/8")

- Glue, pins, basic modeling tools, covering material, and more.

You will have the opportunity to build everything on a quality printed 1:1 construction plan, which will be part of the Short Kit.

All kits are cut as the orders are received.

Yes - it happens too - sometimes a modeler has more power than they would like.

Here are the parts of the model still to be laser-engraved without descriptions.

Where the description in the model's construction will be "invisible", its number will be engraved on this part. This mainly concerns ribs, partitions, and the interior of the fuselage.

Under no circumstances will we mark engraving on small parts, such as elevator parts, rudder, or wing trailing edges.

A part described in this way typically cannot be sanded down to make the description disappear.
